On the 16th day of the 4th month of the 22nd year (1842) under the reign of Emperor Daoguang, the Qubilgan of the Tenth Dalai Lama got enthroned at Potala Palace as stipulated by the Imperial Edict. The Fifth Changkya Hutuktu, the Amban and other officials oversaw the ceremony under the edict, and read the album and bestowed upon him the seal. This is the golden album granted the Eleventh Dalai Lama upon his enthronement by Emperor Daoguang. (Zhang Li)
