This memorial recorded in detail on the ceremony, attended by Tibetan monks and laymen led by the eighth Dalai Lama for greeting and enshrining the gser bum skrug pa (golden Urn) in the Jokhang Monastery on November 20, 1792 when it being delivered to Lhasa. In the memorial, it recorded clearly the Dalai Lama's attitude on abolishing Chokyong (Dharmapala) Seance and establishing the regulations of the Drawing Lots from the Golden Urn. It demonstrated that the establishment and promotion of the Drawing Lots from the Golden Urn regulations obtained warm welcome and support from the various Buddhist sections led by the Dalai Lama.
