This is the Imperial Edit from Emperor Xianfeng regarding the seventh Dalai Lama's enthronement. Emperor Xianfeng ordered the Amban Enqing et al to come to oversee the enthronement with rewards of 10,000 taels of silver. The conferment along with the rewards were delivered by the official of the Court of Colonial Affairs by riding. The Emperor ordered officials of various level local governments passing by to escort the delivering. The seventh Panchen Erdeni was enthroned in Tashilhunpo Monastery on the 2nd day of the 10th month, 1860, succeeding as the eighth Panchen Erdeni formally. (Xiong Wenbin)
