Emperor Yongzheng after his enthronement in 1723 conferred title to the seventh Dalai Lama again along with the golden album and golden seal, this is the Imperial Edit decreed by Emperor Yongzheng regarding conferring the title, the golden album and the golden seal to the seventh Dalai Lama. By the grace of the Heaven, the Emperor hereby decrees to Dalai Lama that:
Now people all over the nation enjoy peace and order under my ruling. I grant you to inherit the title of Dalai Lama owing to honor your dedication to and support for Buddhism in all sincerity, wise and comprehensive advice, strict upholding of Buddhist doctrines and guidance for people to kindness and wellbeing. The Dalai Lama, by developing Vajrayana and spreading the Emperor's glory all over Tibet, has fulfilled great achievements with the light of Samadhi ever bright. The Great Emperor Kangxi had given handsome reward to Tibetan people, and granted even higher accolades to Dalai Lama. Your intelligence and kindness are also heard in the Imperial Palace. After the Enthronement, you shall further develop Tibetan Buddhism, let your men worship you and all mortal beings have faith in you. Therefore, I grant you the title of Dalai Lama, Buddha of Great Compassion in the West, Leader of the Buddhist Faith Beneath the Sky, Holder of the Vajra, and give you the golden loops and the golden seal. You shall always keep gratitude in your mind to spread Buddhism, save people from sufferings and lead them to fulfilment, so that the remote territory in Tibet of the nation will be secured and people there in peace and happiness. You shall not fail my utmost appreciation and care.
