Between 1954 and 1955, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama and the Tenth Panchen Erdeni attended the 1st National People's Congress, the 1st Session of the 2nd National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and visited the Eastern and Northeastern Regions of China. After returning to Lhasa, the Dalai Lama wrote a letter to Chairman Mao reporting the return trip and sent a panegyric to Chairman. This is the reply from Chairman Mao. (Zhang Li)
