Emperor Guangxu, upon receiving the memorial from the Amban Songgui, approved that the Qubilgan of the Twelfth Dalai Lama should be enthroned on the 13th day of the 6th Month of 1879, with 10,000 taels of silver being appropriated from the treasury for the purpose. Moreover, Songgui the Amban of Tibet should be appointed to oversee the enthronement ceremony and reward the Qubilgan and the Regent.
